What is Chill Skills?
Chill Skills Club is an interactive activities and game club for adolescents with Autism, Social Anxiety, or related diagnosis who want to improve their skills and enhance their social network. The goal is pure fun!
Chill Skills provides a fun, independent, peer, and professional mentored social club for youth in a safe, non-judgmental environment. This is a weekly opportunity for middle and early high schoolers who have a desire to interact with others, socialize and build relationships with others.
Why?
The goal is to have fun and learn in a creative, structured experience around the utilization of games. Therapeutic elements are woven in to support social interaction, listening, empathy, emotional awareness, nonverbal cues, and mindfulness.
Who?
12–18-year-olds with Autism, Social Anxiety, or related diagnoses who want to improve social skills
and expand their social network.
Note: The group will alternate between older and younger age groups per 6 week period.
When?
Thursdays: 4:30pm – 6:00pm
Start Date: January 15
Duration: 1 session per week for 6 weeks
